AotD presents Blockbasterds: 06/24/19

If you haven’t seen the announcement, Bryan has decided not to be a regular part of the podcast anymore, but before that, we got a couple episodes in the can which have been desperately begging to be edited. Here’s the first, with the guys talking lots of movie news that is now undoubtedly outdated, but how can we not post it when we talk about such scintillating subjects as Glenn Danzig’s horror film Verotika, which is already being called one of the worst horror anthologies ever made in a genre that is renowned for a low bar? Plus, there’s trailer talk and more!

AotD presents Blockbasterds: 05/27/19

We’re back! (Just like the tagline of Ghostbusters 2!) In this new episode we discuss the giant dumpster fire that is the Sonic trailer, talk about the newest actors who may play the Dark Knight, pay tribute to Peter Mayhew, and discuss news, run down the new releases for June and so much more! Join us or listen to us wont you?

AotD presents Blockbasterds: 04/26/19

It’s that time again: we’re here to talk the news and trailers you need, plus a lot more. This go round, we discuss Zack Snyder’s proclamation that his cut of Justice League DOES exist. Then there’s the revelation of the name of the next Star Wars film. In the mood for Dave Bautista doing a family comedy, or an indie mainstay giving his take on a zombie film, or a teenage Dora the Explorer? Well, you’re surprisingly in luck. Join us for this episode of Blockbasterds!

Then, we talk our recent views as Bryan has finally seen the majesty that is RAW FORCE! And Kent runs through his frantic catch-up for the Best of 2018 episode. Join us for the fun!

Aisle of the Damned: 08/10/18- This is the Darkest Timeline

Tom Cruise is getting old, but he’s still running and running and running in Mission: Impossible- Fallout, one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer and the biggest box office of the franchise. Does he run out of steam, or will the train keep-a-rollin’?

We also talk about some upcoming films and Kent loses his mind over an awful trailer for what looks like a new low for movie spoofs. Plus, lots of news from across the movie spectrum. Enjoy, won’t you?

Aisle of the Damned: 06/29/18- Flying Toasters

It’s a big slam-bang two-fer as Kent and Bryan tackle Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. How do they stack up? I guess you’ll just have to listen! Kent also takes a look at Hearts Beat Loud with Nick Offerman, and it has all the makings of an indie delight.

While they’re at it, they discuss the Star Wars implosion and the emergence of MoviePass competitors. Plus, they both do bad Sylvester Stallone impressions.

Tag Team, back again! This episode, the Damned crew looks at not one, but two blockbuster franchise entries with the X-Men series’ bad boy in Deadpool 2, and another kinda anti-hero getting the kid gloves treatment in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Surprise! Kent and Bryan actually disagree on these; a lot in some cases.

Meanwhile, we also take a look at yet more Star Wars news and lots of assorted odds and ends. For those interested:

Solo review at 1:13:19

Yep, it’s the hap-happiest season of all: Star Wars movie release time! Oh, and Chanukkah or something is going on too. Bryan and Kent discuss Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the petulant reaction of a certain section of fanboys.

Not satisfied with that, they also discuss The Disaster Artist, with James Franco taking on the role of Tommy Wiseau, the auteur behind The Room.

We also have a slew of trailers for upcoming 2018 films and a big discussion of the biggest shake-up to hit Hollywood in years: Disney’s buy-out of Fox’s entertainment division! Plus, Quentin Tarantino is beaming into Star Trek, the National Film Registry has picked 25 new entries and some GI Joe news.
