Aisle of the Damned: 09/28/18- New & Improved

Get to da Lockah!

The Damned boys have seen lots of new movies, and they’re ready to gripe about them! The House with the Clock in Its Walls takes Eli Roth to family fare under the Amblin name. We get DC Animation’s second take on the Man of Steel’s most famous modern story with Death of Superman. Nicolas Cage gets his revenge on in the surrealistic thriller Mandy, and then both of the boys take a gander at Shane Black’s The Predator, and they aren’t sure just what the hell is going on.

AotD presents Blockbasterds: 09/21/18

Welcome to the first episode of Aisle of the Damned Presents Blockbasterds, where Bryan and Kent talk news, trailers, new home video releases and what they’ve been watching outside the theater, all from the comfort of their virtual video store. (Did we mention they both used to work in one of them at some point? Unremarkable, but true!) This week, there’s some big rumors coming out of Warner Bros., but far from anything concrete. The new Predator movie had a scene get chop-pahed. (Sorry.) Oh, and we continue our luddite ways in arguing about why we prefer physical media. Join us! Or don’t, but it’s your loss.

Aisle of the Damned: 05/18/18- Adequacy is Its Own Brand of Disappointment

The Damned Boys have had a busy couple of weeks and they’ve got a couple of theatrical reviews and a couple reviews of direct-to-video flicks: the crowd-funded cult comedy sequel Super Troopers 2, David Tennant going full ham as a serial killer in Bad Samaritan, Japan getting hold of Batman for the completely bizarre Batman: Ninja and Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell making it an even half-dozen for the franchise. Are any of them worth your time?

We also have some bones to pick with Best Buy and Amazon screwing up our orders for blu rays. Are they purposely trying to hasten the death knell of physical media?

Aisle of the Damned: 12/24/16- A Baywatch Nights Christmas

Simply Red, Standing By

It’s the holidays and with so many Hassels to Hoff, we’re glad you found time to listen to our little duo.

We recommend some holiday viewing and talk about a new batch of trailers (Fate of the Furious, John Wick 2, Baywatch, etc.) Then we move on to some new movies: Moana is classic Disney, but what does Bryan think of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, not being a Harry Potter fan? Then we tackle the latest Star Wars “anthology” film: Rogue One. How does it compare to Episode VII? Is Alan Tudyk the best voice actor in the industry? Why does Tarkin look like he has way more liver spots than he did in New Hope?

Face/Off 2

Bryan and Kent jump with both feet into the summer movie season with Captain America: Civil War.

Despite a disappointing lack of appearances by Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant, they’ll make do with Iron Man and Captain America having an ideological measuring contest. Spoiler: the audience wins.

Also, reviews of Keanu, Everybody Wants Some!!, The Nice Guys, and Green Room, plus our recommendations and discussions of the Rogue One trailer. All this and less in the new episode of Aisle of the Damned!
