Aisle of the Damned: 11/16/18- It’s Like Japanese Christmas

It’s been a few weeks since the last Damned episode, and we’re ready to rumble. The fellas take on the World War II horror film Overlord, but not before Kent has given his thoughts on a few things. First, there’s Robert Redford’s goodbye in The Old Man & the Gun. The folks behind Despicable Me decided we needed yet another version of The Grinch. And then there are lots of people using accents which aren’t their own in the Tom Clancy-lite Hunter Killer. Which ones are worth your time? We’ll tell you what we think.

Aisle of the Damned: 12/22/17- O hai, Luke

Yep, it’s the hap-happiest season of all: Star Wars movie release time! Oh, and Chanukkah or something is going on too. Bryan and Kent discuss Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the petulant reaction of a certain section of fanboys.

Not satisfied with that, they also discuss The Disaster Artist, with James Franco taking on the role of Tommy Wiseau, the auteur behind The Room.

We also have a slew of trailers for upcoming 2018 films and a big discussion of the biggest shake-up to hit Hollywood in years: Disney’s buy-out of Fox’s entertainment division! Plus, Quentin Tarantino is beaming into Star Trek, the National Film Registry has picked 25 new entries and some GI Joe news.

Whelp, the ol’ Damned boys are in for it now; Stephen King’s It is in theaters and it’s not clowning around. So how does it fair? Is it scary? Is it good? Is it good AND scary? We’ll find out!

We also delve into the news surrounding Star Wars: Episode 9 and a few other little movies like Wonder Woman, Terminator, and Halloween (now with more Jamie Lee Curtis). Oh, and we discuss video game films, the new Tomb Raider being the latest example.

Space Dandy. He's a Dandy Guy. In Space.

Bryan and Kent both love Star Wars. They also both love Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But such is the power of the force, that their disagreement over it’s light and dark sides brings all sorts of Sturm und Drang. They are more in agreement over the greatness of Creed and the okayness of Spectre. Plus, The Night Before and The Final Girls! All this and less in this episode of Aisle of the Damned. (Spoilers for Spectre around 19:00 or so, Creed around 37:00 and for Star Wars around 57:00.)
