Aisle of the Damned: 01/18/19- The Perfunctory Best (and Worst) of 2018 Episode

As the year begins, we see the movie podcast critics begin their ritual driven by ancient instinct and time immemorial; naming the best and worst films of the previous year. Bryan and Kent are on that majestic journey. Let it never be said that if everyone jumped off a bridge, they wouldn’t as well. They discuss the five worst/most disappointing movies of 2018, then their 10 favorites. There are sequels both stinky and sublime. Big movies. Small movies. Movies, movies, movies, up to our ears in movies! We count ’em down! Bryan invents the word “Spielbergery” too! Join us, won’t you?

Aisle of the Damned: 06/29/18- Flying Toasters

It’s a big slam-bang two-fer as Kent and Bryan tackle Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. How do they stack up? I guess you’ll just have to listen! Kent also takes a look at Hearts Beat Loud with Nick Offerman, and it has all the makings of an indie delight.

While they’re at it, they discuss the Star Wars implosion and the emergence of MoviePass competitors. Plus, they both do bad Sylvester Stallone impressions.

Aisle of the Damned: 04/20/18- You Can’t Cena Me

Greetings, Damned fans! On this week’s turgid episode, we take a look at not one, not two, not even THREE new films, but an even quatro! First, Kent has a look at the sex comedy Blockers, The Rock facing off against vidya game monsters in Rampage and Wes Anderson’s animated slice of Japanophile cinema, Isle of Dogs, then he and Bryan take a look at the runaway smash creature feature, A Quiet Place.

Before that though, we have some news, a recommendation for the last of the official Batman: The Animated Series films in hi def, and a look at a hell of a dumb shark movie trailer.
